Royal insider lifts the lid on Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show and feels ‘relations have likely healed’ behind the scenes
Despite previous TV appearances by the Sussexes causing a bit of a stir, this new show seems to be a fresh start and a sign of past wounds healing – reveals former royal butler.
Speaking on behalf of JeffBet, former royal butler Grant Harrold suggests relations have ‘healed’ between the Sussexes and the royal family.
He goes on to say the series dropping really feels like a ‘fresh start’ for Meghan, adding that ‘when things go a bit wrong, you go back to what you are good at’ and that this show is ‘very nicely done’.
He also claims senior royals will likely ‘not have any issues’ with the show, as it is ‘very different to what they have done before’.
“It is interesting to see that the show has finally aired. I don’t see anything wrong with her using the name Sussex, she is a Sussex, she is the Duchess of Sussex – although it doesn’t appear she is using HRH The Duchess of Sussex and is just using Meghan Sussex.
“It is interesting that she is saying this is a new chapter in her life. It appears to be more her rediscovering her passion for what she was doing in previous chapters, going back to what she was doing before she met Harry. A lot of people do this – when things go a bit wrong, you go back to what you are good at. When she joined the royal family I believe she was probably told to give up on acting and be a full time royal. But now that hasn’t happened, her going back to doing television is understandable – even if it is reality TV rather than acting.
“I think this really is a fresh start for her though. I think that behind the scenes relations have likely healed between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family. This show is very different to what they have done before and I don’t believe that the royal family will have any issues with it. I think they will be happy with it. There is no gossip, it is just a cooking show and she is just talking about her life. I think it is very nicely done.”
